Several animal species, some that have been on the planet for hundreds of thousands of year and more, are on the brink of extinction in 2017.
Recent human activity, developed around the dominant socio-economic order of unfettered capitalism, has destroyed their habitat. Poaching has also played a role in the rapid destruction of these animal species.
