G20 Summit highlights climate change, women empowerment
An agreement to fully implement the Paris Climate Change Accord and partnership with Africa are some of the key issues that were agreed on at the G20 Summit in Hamburg, Germany. Despite the United States not in full support, it's agreed to work with others to reduce gas emissions. Leaders also agreed to recognise free trade and fight certain forms of protectionism. The two day summit dealing with difficult issues broadly agreed on free trade, fighting protectionism and building partnership with Africa, based on Agenda 2063. It was also agreed to boost rural employment and empower of women. On the issue of climate change, where the US has taken a different stance, it was agreed that working together is the way to go.
