Kenya will host the African green revolution forum conference in September.

The 5th forum brings together Africa agriculture stakeholders to discuss how to advance policies and secure investments in the continent.

Speaking during a press conference on Tuesday, Agriculture CS Willy Bett said agriculture directly contributes to about 30 per cent of the GDP and another 25 per cent indirectly.

Bett said in a region dogged by climate change, rapid urban population growth, lack of jobs, agriculture offers a clear path to food security and employment opportunities.
