Rwanda Environment Management Authority (REMA) has called for more investment in agricultural waste, saying it is a vital resource for clean energy.

The call follows a support by Rwanda Environment and Climate Fund (Fonerwa) to investment in projects that can agricultural waste into energy.

According to Eng. Collette Ruhamya, the acting director general of REMA, the move will help the agriculture sector to promote green agriculture and green economy.
