Climate Change Forces Ghana to Restock Lake Bosomtwe

The Ministry of Fisheries and Aquaculture Development is to revamp Lake Bosomtwe with fish stock to increase fishing activities on the lake.

The restocking includes the supply of a large quantum of cat fish and tilapia fingerings to increase the fish stock in the lake.

The Minister of Fisheries and Aquaculture Development, Ms Sherry Ayittey, announced this when she addressed a durbar of the fisher folks along Lake Bosomtwe at Abono in the Bosomtwe District in the Ashanti Region.

The durbar was aimed at interacting with the fisher folks to educate them on what the government was doing to help revamp fishing activities along the lake.
