Sudan: Environment Conference Work Group Reaches Agreement to Recycle Waste to Produce Electricity

Work group from the First Environment Conference Chaired by the Minister of Environment, State Minister for Electricity and Water Resources, State Minister at the Ministry of International Cooperation, the Chairman of the Higher Council for Environment and technicians representing the Canadian, Spanish and Chinese companies operating in the field of recycling waste reached an agreement to recycle waste to produce electricity.

The three companies expressed readiness to work together in the field to produce 50 megawatt of electricity in addition to other uses such as plastic, paper and natural fertilizer.

The companies called for studying the kinds of dry and wet waste and the Canadian company participating in the conference has affirmed ability to provide the requested fund for the project.
