Zambia: Governmet Prioritises Climate Change
Vice president Inonge Wina says government will not relent in offering relief to people affected by climate change.
Mrs. Wina says this is why government through the Disaster Management and Mitigation Unit -DMMU- has released relief maize to some parts of the country that have recorded hunger.
The Vice President is however sad that in Western province, people that are supposed to benefit from the distribution of relief food have not received.
ZNBC’s Ruth Mwale reports that Mrs. Wina was speaking in a meeting with District commissioners and DMMU officers in Western province to establish why the relief food has not reached the intended people.
