Lilongwe — Malawi is preparing to participate at the forth-coming twenty first session of the parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCC) that will take place in Paris, France this coming December.

Principal Secretary for Environment and Climate Change Management, Dr. Yanira Ntupanyama made the disclosure on Tuesday at the opening ceremony of National Stakeholder's Consultative Meeting on Climate Change in Lilongwe.

"Malawi is expected to attend the conference and contribute effectively to a successful global outcome in Paris and subsequent domestic interventions to manage the adverse effects of climate change that the country is currently facing," she said.
