Green Building Council of South Africa Aims to Change Perspectives

The impact of buildings on the environment is astounding, with the built environment currently accounting for 25% of the world’s water usage and 60% of its electricity. But it doesn’t have to be this way.
World Green Building Week (WGBW) 2016 took place from 26 September to 2 October under the theme Change Your Perspective, and the Green Building Council of South Africa (GBCSA) is proud to once again drive this important initiative locally.
Organised by the World Green Building Council (WGBC) and led by its global network of 74 Green Building Councils and their 27,000 members, this significant week raised awareness of how green buildings are the most effective means of achieving a range of environmental, social and economic goals.
