Farmer Advises Harvesting Rainwater, Using Rotational Planting

As a mother of nine, 57-year-old Tirelo Sekhobe has had to work incredibly hard to support her big family.

Having spent all her life in the small village of Moshupa, Sekhobe survives by selling the harvest from the field she unwaveringly ploughs every day.

It is a business that Sekhobe first started back in 2001 and has continued ever since, a venture that has helped her escape the shackles of poverty that have crippled much of Moshupa.

The hard-working woman describes herself as a farmer, rearing domestic animals such as cows and goats, as well as widely practicing commercial farming.
