Like is tradition, the World Environment Day, is to be commemorated and government through the National Environmental Management Authority (NEMA) had drown-up awareness and action for protection of the environment.

The day will be marked today under the theme; conserve wildlife, sustain livelihoods. Gulu Municipality will host the event.

However, according to eco-artist, Bruno Ruganzu, every day should be an environment day and people need to be cautious of their actions towards the environment.
