Malawi: Counter Climate Change Interventions Fail in Nsanje

Stakeholders working against climate change in Nsanje claim the extreme weather conditions affecting the district this year are failing their interventions.

In an interview with the Malawi News Agency, Goal Malawi programmes Manager for Discover project, Bentry Moyo said the situation has become an adversary even in conservation agriculture.

"As Goal, we have been implementing projects dealing with climate change in the district, however, this year we haven't been successful due to the dry spell which is worse of current. Most of our interventions aimed at boosting agriculture like Ntayakhasu haven't been effective," said Moyo.

He said this has also affected other interventions vital in improving the livelihood of communities in the district.
