Impact of Climate Change on Diet Could Kill 500k Adults by 2050
Climate change due to global warming has already begun to transform life on Earth. Across the planet, seasons are shifting, temperatures are surging and glaciers are melting, resulting in increase of water levels in seas and oceans.
Now a new study has suggested that this rapid change in the climate would engulf more than half a million lives by the year 2050.
The first-of-its-kind modelling study, carried out by a group of scientists from the U.K., has found that the impact of climate change on food production which further leads to changes in diets and bodyweight could kill more than 500000 adults worldwide by 2050.
