Vancouver wants to shift to 100% renewable energy use

Vancouver wants to forget the fossil fuels and make do solely using renewable energy.

City council voted unanimously Wednesday to support a shift toward using 100 per cent renewable energy sources in a renewed push to meet its “greenest city” goals.

“The future of Vancouver’s economy and livability will depend on our ability to confront and adapt to climate change,” according to a statement from Mayor Gregor Robertson.
